Wills Park Youth Baseball

Don’t miss our “Opening Day” March 27th come for the day and have a great time.

March 27th will be a day filled with fun, food and activities.  The first pitch will still occur on Field 4 at 11am followed by a league-wide picture – we want to include all those that play baseball at Wills Park , so everyone come out early.  Our National Anthem will be performed by Abbey Riddell--an award-winning member of the MHS Chorus.  There will be lots to eat from great area restaurants such as Bagel Boys, Z Pizza, Shane’s BBQ, and much more. Thanks to all our local sponsors Kessler’s Sporting Goods, Stars and Strikes and Grand Slam!

A new addition to our wonderful Sponsors this year is Adamo Photography they will be at the park taking pictures as well as you will have the opportunity to sign up for action shots of your child or even a private session. Be sure to check out their booth and see their amazing work. See their site at: http://adamosportsphotography.com/home.php

We will have Justin Gatlin with us Saturday! Justin won the gold metal in the 2004 Olympics in the 100m with a time of 9.85 seconds, and is currently training for the 2012 games. The 11-Alive Weather Guy, Ted Hall, will be the MC on Saturday for the festivities. Be sure to check out the spirit wear tables at the upper and lower fields along with an amazing auction to support our Team Georgia Boys!

Also planned for that day will be the first ever Home Run Derby for the 9/10s and 11/12s starting at 3:30pm on Saturday, March 27th we’ll see who the real home run champion is in those age groups.  Parents and players, you don’t want to miss this one.  The events will be held on Field 3 for the 9/10s and on Field B for the 11/12s.

So as you can see there is so much to do all day do not miss out on the fun. The activities will run until approximately 4:30…..Hope to see you and your family there!
