Wills Park Youth Baseball
The Wills Park 12U Out of Park Cooperstown team (Coach Faerber’s Wills Park Raiders) will conduct team tryouts Sunday, February 7 and Sunday, February 14 (if necessary). This tryout is open to Recreation League players playing in the 11/12 National or American League who will be 12 years of age between May 1, 2009 and April 30, 2010. Registration will be 12:00-12:30pm, warm-up 12:30-1:00pm and evaluations 1:00pm-4:30pm. To be eligible, players MUST attend the entirety of the February 7 tryout.
The Raiders will have regular practices and scrimmages throughout the Recreation season, usually on Sundays. The Cooperstown schedule will not conflict with Recreation League team schedules.
The current tournament schedule (subject to change) is as follows:
• April 9-11 (Spring Break) – Travel Tournament
• May 28-31 (Memorial Weekend) – Select Tournament
• June 3-7 - Pre-District or Travel Tournament
• June 10-14 - Pre-District or Travel Tournament
• June 17-21 - Dizzy Dean District Tournament
• June 25-28 – Pre-State Tournament
• July 1-6 – Dizzy Dean State Tournament
• July 16-23 – Cooperstown
To play on the team, players selected must be able to participate fully in the entire season, including fundraising, team events, practices, and tournaments prior to the Cooperstown tournament.
