City of Alpharetta Residency
The Wills Park Youth Baseball Registration Fee does not include a compulsory
City of Alpharetta 75% surcharge for non-residents (those who do not pay City
of Alpharetta Property Taxes).
A city resident is defined as any person living
within the city limits of Alpharetta and paying City of Alpharetta Property Taxes.
A mailing address should not be considered in determining residency since many
areas of Fulton County and some areas of Cherokee and Forsyth Counties use the
Alpharetta Post Office. To verify residency status, call 678-297-6100.
Alpharetta Recreation & Parks Department (ARCD) charges an additional
fee/surcharge for non-city residents participating in programs conducted on
facilities under the ARCD's control. For youth athletic leagues, this
fee/surcharge is 75% of the registration fee and is in addition to registration fee.
For registration purposes, the definition of a "resident" is a person whose legal
domicile is located within the city limit boundaries of the City of Alpharetta
and pays property taxes to the City of Alpharetta. Non-resident applies to all
others.
City of Roswell, Sandy Springs, Atlanta, Milton, John's Creek, and other
municipalities in Fulton County are subject to non-resident fees.
Not sure if you live in Alpharetta-proper? Use Alpharetta City Web Site's
City Limit checker page
for assistance.
Refund Policy
Full refunds less administrative / processing charges will be granted upon
written request made to the Director of Registration for all registered players that
make such request before midnight Friday preceding evaluations. Refund requests made
after midnight Friday preceding evaluations but before a player is drafted / placed
on a team will be refunded at 50% of registration fee. Once a player has been
drafted / placed on a team, refund requests will not be granted with the following
exceptions:
- A player makes his/her high school, high school junior varsity or high school
freshman baseball team;
- A player has or is moving from his/her current address to a location that
potentially reasonably prohibits playing at Wills Park;
- Medical hardship;
- Financial hardship.
Appeals beyond the aforementioned must be made in writing to the Director of Registration.
The appeal must include name, age group and reasons for the refund request. All appeals will
be presented by the Director of Registration to the full AYBA board of directors for vote.
